Do thine eyes decieve me?

Sarah is sitting next to me chanting, 'candy candy candy candy candy candy!' while I ponder one of the greatest mysteries that happened today. I was anxious, only minutes ago, for a parcel that was said to be waiting for us. Was it for me? Could it be an early Birthday present? I waited for my mom to come back with it. When she finally did, I looked at the address. For me? Yes!

I opened it. It was a pretty big box. I unwrapped the first gift inside. A notebook! Then the next. My favorite tea! Another, chocolate, and mechanical pencils (and a lot there was), and socks ...

There, at the bottom, was the last present. Had Christmas come early and nobody notified me? Was it really snowing outside at that moment? Where was everyone else's presents, the decorations? How come it was Halloween at the same time? The last gift was the greatest, most beautiful one of all. A mp3/CD Walkman! Just what I asked for!

I knew only two people who would spoil me so. Thank you, Kaytlyn and Addison! Best Birthday ever!

Happy Halloween! I just started my costume, which will be an M&M made out of cardboard. The paint is drying right now on one side and then I have to paint the 'M' on the other piece. It's looking pretty good to me, and the 'M's are silver, so they're reflective. We couldn't find any white, either.

Today is also my brothers' birthday. Happy birthday Addison! Yesterday is snowed, but it didn't really last - it was only a few centimeters. Emma and I went outside and walked around in it, which was fun.

No real story progress, though I did write a full page of the story. I'm just waiting for a day where I feel like writing a lot.

Yesterday I started and completed a puzzle which I hadn't done before. Maybe I'll start another today, or maybe I'll take a break. It's going to be fun tonight, though, just because we're in a new neighborhood this year. And because I'm going as an M&M, which is awesome. And I get candy on my birthday.

Three!

Only three days left! Woo!

Yesterday I started a puzzle, and it looked easy except for the trees everywhere. Well, same with the building that's like a hotel made of windows. Let's just say, this is a very tough puzzle for me. Snow is all over the trees, too, and it's at night ...

My Dad said we might go shopping tonight. I plan on getting some stuff for my birthday, like favorite treats. Maybe I'll even wrap them to make sure I don't open them. I hope we get food, too. All the cereal is gone now. :(

I haven't written much for the story lately, just a few pages and some notes.

Four!

Ah. I just wrote about writing my story on a forum I used to go on. It feels very good to talk about it.

As for the language thing, I came up with how this planet actually learned it. Once they found out there were other planets out there, Katie's unknown relative Nicholas was sent to learn the other peoples' language because their own was difficult for them to use. He studied it, even took an English class or learned it from someone, wrote it all down in a book and published it for everyone to learn. He ties in with another story in the book, so you'll have to find that out.

You know what I'm glad my story doesn't have? a Prophecy. I, personally, do not like them at all. If other people like them, fine. It's just not my style.
