Fall again

It's been too long. I'm trying to pick a theme but there's too many good ones. I have it on one that i just changed but I'm going to change it to something darker. I also see my mom has added spell check, which should be good for some people.  I find it's really helpful when you're, say, writing a story, because I used to be very bad at spelling but over time I learned to spell better.

So, right before coming here to write, I checked my e-mail.  I had 704 new messages, most of which were things from yahoo. Luckily none were spam. I only have so much because I hadn't checked all summer. I also had an e-mail from someone I was friends with over the internet a while ago, her telling me she moved and that she hoped I would move soon, too.

Except, well, there was a slight problem with that. I know nobody has perfect memory, but this was just crazy. I moved in May, and when was this e-mail sent? September. What had I said to her a few e-mails ago?  I moved!  So you know when you send e-mails back and forth to people that all of what you said is still in the whole e-mail, right? Looks like somebody wasn't paying attention. She also asked me to add her to her new MSN, and she should know I don't go online anymore by now.  I told her, you know, it was a shame I didn't go online anymore, and that I'd moved in May. I just thought I would get that off my chest.

I've been working on a story since the end of August, and so far I've written sixty-one pages of the story - by hand in a notebook. That doesn't sound like a lot, and it isn't really, but I haven't written a single story that was more than, say, forty pages. And they would have less than that and be finished! It makes me happy to know I can write a lot more, although at the moment I'm having a bit of trouble trying to think of things to happen next, even if I have plenty of ideas. But as I write sometimes I can't think of anything further for a part of it, so I skip it and leave a wiggly line with an asterisk (*) so when I put it on the laptop, I can  fill in the blanks or write it later. I left a very large blank spot and hope to stretch it as far as I can, hopefully up to fifty pages, but I'm not sure as to what all happens.

I haven't read any books since I started, so I can't be influenced by them.  This time around I planned most of what happens in all of the books, which is helpful. I used to just make it up as I went, which is a very bad idea and makes for a very bad story.

Lastly, about the paintings I have done recently. My mom has them up on her Flickr - I think. Or is that how you spell it? I don't know. You know what I mean.  I came up with the idea for one of them after we moved, and it ended up tying in with my story, so I've painted another one and I'm still painting one. I have an idea for my next one, too. People really seem to like them, but with the first one I'm always looking at it and seeing faults or things I could've changed. I might have to paint it again to be completely satisfied with it. Besides, the dimensions are wrong for a book cover. I figured it would be nice to design my own cover art, since nobody seems to. That way I could get exactly what I was looking for.

I'm guessing Sarah would like to have this computer back, so I will  get off of it now.
