Only nine more days until Christmas is here!

Yay! So, now my Christmas shopping is nearly done - I just have to buy one more thing and do two other things I'm not going to mention or it may ruin the surprise. I hope people like what I bought them. In only seven days Addison is coming home with Kaytlyn, and they will be staying for several days, also bringing their Wii along with them. Let's hope they don't leave it here; they always forget at least one thing with every visit - last time, it was their Bop It, which is now lost deep within the depths of the playroom in mountains of toys flowing out of many boxes. Maybe I can search for it if I'm feeling bored - I think I know the general whereabouts of it.

Meanwhile, progress on my story is slow since I feel a bit lost and I need to do some work with the storyline, etc. I'll take a break from the story (again!) so I can focus on the things I need to do before I continue writing it.

The Christmas trees have been decorated (we really did get a real one), the presents have been bought - okay, my parents still need to do theirs - and now we wait!

The other day we went to the nearby big city to go Christmas shopping. I haven't finished yet, but I did get most of it done - the rest I can finish here anyway. This should be an awesome Christmas, but knowing our luck something may go terribly, horrifyingly wrong. Oh well. I think my mom mentioned something about finally putting up the Christmas tree today - sadly, it's a fake one - but I know getting a second real one was discussed a week or so ago.

This Christmas, Kaytlyn and Addison are visiting for several days - ! - and my grandmother and her third husband are coming for only two days, Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and they will be staying in a hotel. This year I haven't thought about what I wanted much, and when I did I could come up with few ideas. I just don't know. But I'm focused more on everyone else and what I'm getting them. Still, I do kind of wonder what people got me, because I never really gave them ideas. We'll find out soon enough.

I know I said I would try to  get another chapter on here, but I still haven't. I need to fix a chapter anyway, add more content and things like that.  I haven't been focusing on the part that I'm on now or the animals I have to come up with.  I'll get back on track soon.

Wednesdays are awesome!

Today we are paying a long-awaited visit to Aunt Boo! This is what makes any day awesome. We haven't seen her since July because she over-did it a few months back - she always has company over at her house - it will be good to see her again. We'll be going after lunch and staying for dinner, too. Yay!

I've been writing too much of my story in the future, but it also helps in a small, small way if there's a part I want to get to, even if it's in the last book.  I have managed to include the talking cat, which is actually a huge, golden tiger now. It's pretty wicked. I haven't been writing much since I still need to think up those animals, though I have done a few, and think of more content. Plus for the second book I need to study Pirate-type ships, so I know what everything is, and think of more characters . . . the work never seems to end.

Speaking of work, yesterday I shoveled the driveway which had, I don't know, maybe a foot of snow on it. We have a very big driveway, too, but I got it all done before Dad came home for lunch. The excercise was nice and it wasn't too cold, and Emma joined me out there for a while.

I think for Christmas I could possibly paint some pictures for people. They might like that. I have a few ideas for paintings, but some of them I would like to keep. Maybe I could make replicas . . .

Uh Oh!

I tried to get my story on the jump drive the other day, since I completed two more chapters, but I kept getting errors saying I couldn't put it on the jump drive. I'll ask someone to help me with it soon so I can post a chapter on here. Yay or what?

Why does it have to be windy today? Since it's blowing in the worst direction it could, so smoke that is supposed to be exiting  the chimney comes back into the house. My throat hurts a bit now and it smells very wood-stove smoky.

Since it's the first day of December, I'm going to say it's officially winter now. I haven't started any Christmas shopping yet, and I need to think of more ideas of what to get everyone. I did make a list though.

For the past few days I've been writing a part in a later book of my story, which I shouldn't really be doing, but I am anyway. Whenever people have arguments it seems very easy to write it, so sometimes I lean towards those earlier than I should, and when I actually get that far it doesn't match up quite right, so this one and others might need to be tweaked. It's a shame I can't bring another chapter with me today. :(
