I really need to work on getting more of that story on the laptop so I can transfer it here on the flash drive, make some adjustments perhaps, and think of a password for it, one that has something to do with the first chapter.

I wrote some of the really good parts in the past few days, but I skipped a lot of things when I shouldn't have. I'll fill them in soon. I have to come up with more things to put in the first book because I'm aiming at four hundred pages or so, and most of what has happened only got me to a hundred pages. Of course, in that there's yet more blank spots however small, which happen quite often. And when it's in book form, the text will be different sizes and at the start and end of every chapter, usually a lot of the page is blank. Hopefully I will reach the mark easily.

So I have been trying to read Pride & Prejudice again for the wording problem, but I can't seem to focus on it. Most of the time I'll put it down after reading just a page or two but taking none of it in because I want to write something in the story. Maybe this is part of the reason I haven't been reading any books. Still, I'll try my best to read some more today.

I still have a lot of work to do on the sewing project, and it will probably take all day today and all day tomorrow, maybe even another day! Still, it's worth it.

No issues resolved with the writing. I'm still stuck on it.

Yesterday it snowed but it's barely there. I think most of it is melting, actually . . . I need to go get dressed. I'll say more another time.

The day before yesterday I started a new sewing project out of fabric I had used for a dress. Since there wasn't a lot of fabric left, some things were tricky but I hope it turns out well in the end. I will post pictures if I can when I'm done.

As for my story, I've been having some trouble with the wording and finding the right ones. Hopefully I'll get back on track soon. Oh, I almost forgot - I've written over a hundred pages so far! It doesn't sound like a lot, but trust me, this is a major upgrade from full stories that were only up to fourty pages long and took me a lot longer to write. I'd pat myself on the back, but that's sort of difficult.

This morning we went to the library in town to learn about Pioneers with the local homeschoolers. I found it very helpful and good to know more about it since my story has a bit to do with that. I'll be able to add more of it to the story, so I hope.

A week or two ago I started reading through the dictionary for some new words. So far I'm mid-way through B and at page one hundred. Sometimes I feel like reading it, other times I don't. But I have learned some great words and written them and their meanings down.

Back to sewing. I should really go do that.

It snowed the other day, not much, but it stayed overnight. Now it's raining and pretty dark. Something is wrong with something electrical so most of the lights won't work.

I changed my theme yesterday to this festive one, but didn't get the chance to post. I also couldn't really think of anything.

Writing is going well. There are still some tough parts but I'll figure it out. I haven't been doing much for the animals, I think I came up with maybe one name and that was it so far. I think I'll work on that today. The paintings have been put on hold for the moment, I will finish them at another time.
