A week ago I got to go visit Sarah again, starting on Monday and going to Friday, and I didn’t write yet because my eyes started to hurt again and I couldn’t do much on the computer. Anyway, on Monday, after Sarah came up on the bus Saturday night, Dad drove the both of us down to Fredericton, and we did a few things before he left.  Sarah and I watched a movie and looked at other ones we might watch while I was there, and that’s what we did for the night. We wanted to go see Addison, but he and Kaytlyn were busy and said we could come over the next night.

On Tuesday we walked around, and I’m pretty sure it was the day we went to the library, Tim Hornton’s, and to a third place I can’t remember. We went over to Addison’s for supper and I stayed the night there, my only one this time.

On Wednesday I felt sick, but I still walked around to the grocery store, past Sarah’s next apartment, and to the Salvation army. We also went to Mike’s again, and he made us some pizza after we ran around the store. We played a game that we (our family) used to have, but I don’t know what happened to, and Sarah won once, and Mike won the second game. We played another game where your can steal planes and helicopters, so I did that a few times and got home a bit later than usual.

For Thursday I felt better, and Sarah and I took the bus to the mall. I had gift cards, so I bought two things, but I didn’t buy anything else. We took the bus back and walked to Sarah’s apartment a few blocks away, and Addison came over later that night and played Settlers of Catan (the game I mentioned earlier that we also played on Tuesday night) with us. He won again. I went with Sarah to the grocery store and we watched the rest of another movie before I went to bed.

Friday was the day I was going home, and my mother, my dad, and Emma came and picked me up. We went to a few stores I didn’t get to go to that week, and then we went home. It had been fairly warm the whole week, but it was 30+ degrees outside the day I went home, and it has been ever since. It’ll probably be this hot until Thursday.

Yesterday night Sarah came on the bus for a visit and a dentist appointment, and I’m going back with her to stay for the week again, but for one day less. On Friday I cleaned my room, Sarah’s old room, and I helped Mom clean the living room, where we relocated the Wii. We were going to clean in this room, but we’ve only done a small amount so far. Yesterday we tackled the front and side gardens, and now you can actually see plants in the side one, because nobody had weeded it the whole summer.

I haven’t been doing any reading or writing, but I have been sewing, and I made some more types of test soaps. I’ll list the different kinds I’ve made.

Food-related (or with stuff in it) soaps (unscented):

*It hasn’t been tested yet.

Just colored soaps:
Rainbow
Loufa
Lime
Watermelon
Chocolate (I used chocolate flavoring that was for food in this, and it still smells like chocolate without being overpowing. I did the same with the watermelon.)

I know I’m missing a few there, but I’ll add them later.

Last week, since Sarah had to come back here for the dentist, I went back with her for the week. I stayed at Addison’s apartment for the nights except the last one, and Sarah would walk over in the mornings.

On Monday we didn’t do much over at Sarah’s (we watched some shows online until Addison and Kaytlyn were done at a writers’ group) because we were both tired after the drive, and when they finished that night we went grocery shopping so I wouldn’t starve. I brought rainbow cake and toblerone fudge with me for everyone.

On Tuesday,  we went out shopping after lunch with Kaytlyn and I bought some paper I needed to finish covering some books, I bought a new book to cover, and I bought a purple sheet to use for the back of my purple and green quilt. We had pizza for super because there was a deal to get four medium pizzas for five dollars each. When Kaytlyn order, the first three pizzas were a long list of toppings, and then the last one would just be a vegetarian pizza. That night we went to the theater to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the midnight showing. We had heard that people had been lining up since noon (why would you wait twelve hours?) and we had gotten there around ten thirty.  We were about the last people in line, and after waiting for more than an hour, we were let in and we could only get seats in the front row with some of Kaytlyn’s friends. The movie was good, and the front-row seats not that bad, but it made everyone’s necks hurt, and next time I want to see it further away. We were all up until 3 am, and we still had to drive someone home and drop off Sarah, too.

For Wednesday we mostly napped and recovered from staying up so late, and after lunch we went around to stores I wanted to see, and I walked with Sarah to her apartment, and we walked to a few places to get samosas, but both were out. After waiting at her place, Sarah’s friend Mike picked us up so I could meet him and visit, and he made us bruschetta and fettuccine alfredo after we wandered around the grocery store looking for the ingredients. After that Sarah and I mostly watched him play video games until he had to go to work and I had to go to bed. My eyes hurt a bit that day, and since then they have, but if I don’t spend too much time on the computer or watching TV, it’ll get better.

And on Thursday . . .  Sarah slept in, so after lunch me and Kaytlyn wdrove over and woke her up so we could go shopping again. We went to a few stores, and I still hadn’t bought anything since Tuesday. That night Sarah went to a youth group of hers, and I stayed at home with Kaytlyn and Addison. Kaytlyn sorted through a box of books and played super Mario while Addison explained to me in length about the ten different dimensions, and after that we looked at a website called Galaxy Zoo, where you classify galaxies for whoever because they don’t  have the time to, and computers can’t do it. Katylyn tried showing Addison how to braid hair so he could braid hers, and used mine as a demonstration. After they played with my hair for a while, we sort of gave up with Addison.

Finally, on my last full day, Sarah and I walked around downtown Fredericton, and after having lunch with another of Kaytlyn’s friends,  we went to a bookstore that had old books, but because they were mostly too expensive, I only bought three. We checked out a few other stores before heading back to Sarah’s place, and we were supposed to go back to Addison’s, but Kaytlyn was napping and told us to wait, even though I was going to make spaghetti and fresh bread. It ended up that we asked them to drop off my stuff  because they would be having  a friend over, and me and Sarah walked to the nearby grocery store, and bought things for making spaghetti and some garlic bread, plus a cute little jug of chocolate milk to go with it. We watched some YouTube videos to pass the time and I slept in Sarah’s nice, comfy bed.

For Saturday, Mom, Dad and Emma came to pick me up, but first we went to the market, and got eggs and samosas, and to Fabricville and Micheals for a few things. After that, I went home. Sarah has a dentist appointment again in August, so I plan on going to visit her again then, but for a day less this time since she has somewhere to be on the weekend.

Sorry for not writing sooner, but I’ve been busy this week picking strawberries for the neighbors, and with sewing. Since my mother suggested writing about the quilts I’ve been making, I will. I finished the top for a green and purple quilt, a kid-like quilt, one made of strips sewn together (that one I barely did anything with, and we have no pictures), and finally, my last one in the works is one made out of  2-inch floral squares from scraps. The number of squares I had to cut to make a decent sized quilt? 1,400. That sounds like a lot, but it isn’t really when you see them stacked together or you lay them out. I already sewed 700 pairs together, which I’m waiting for Mom to iron, and then I can sew the pairs into pairs.

Story-wise, I’ve been pretty distracted, so I haven’t done any work on it. Next week, I’m going to go visit Sarah for the week, and during that time we’re going to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the midnight premiere with Kaytlyn, I’m assuming Addison is going, and a group of people they know. Sarah already got the tickets for it so we won’t have to buy them when we go to the movie. That should help with the hordes of people who will be there.
